Our story

Established in 2012, Cantando FVC Choir started with just 6 members. It has now grown to become a 40-piece choir that regularly perform at pubs, festivals, and concerts around the South East . Cantando FVC Choir has a varied set ranging from Tina Turner, and Fleetwood Mac to The Lumineers and The Cranberries and are guaranteed to sing something for everyone.

Cantando FVC Choir is a contemporary choir that is built on the foundations of being an inclusive, with no auditions and a community feel, yet prides itself on delivering professional performances.

They have been lucky enough to have performed at the Portsmouth Guildhall with Rumour of Fleetwood Mac, at Chichester Cathedral with X-Factors classical crossover groups G4, and at The Kings Theatre with Blake.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday evening at their home from home, The Jolly Sailor in Southsea.

I've been a member for 10 years and have seen the choir grow from strength to strength. It's more than just a choir. It's a community, an inspiration, and a friendship network. Becs, who runs the choir, is at the heart of it. She inspires, encourages, and provides opportunities for the choir that enrich and challenge us all. Rehearsals are the one day of the week I really look forward to.
